Oswal Investment Ltd has begun remedial work on the Ashiaman-Afienya stretch in an effort to alleviate traffic congestion for commuters. On Sunday, the Roads Minister conducted an emergency visit to the stretch, where the ongoing traffic jams have sparked frustration among motorists.
Oswal is one of two contractors appointed by Roads Minister Kwame Governs Agbodza to handle the remedial works on both the Ashiaman-Afienya stretch and the Motorway-Dawenya stretch.
Currently, the contractor is engaged in earth reclamation, utilizing the same earth material in the remedial process. This approach is expected to reduce the overall cost of the project by approximately 40%.
