Taxi Driver Murdered by Passengers on Prampram-Aflao Trip; One Suspect Arrested, Two on the Run
A tragic murder has rocked the towns of Prampram and Dzodze after a Ghanaian taxi driver, Patrick Tetteh, was brutally killed by passengers he had transported.
Patrick, a respected driver based in Prampram, reportedly picked up three Nigerian men who hired him for a long-distance journey to Aflao in the Volta Region. The trip took a deadly turn near Dzodze, where the suspects allegedly murdered him and attempted to steal his vehicle.
Their escape was cut short at a regional security checkpoint, where officers arrested one suspect driving the stolen taxi. The suspect’s suspicious behavior and failure to provide valid documents raised alarm, prompting deeper investigation.
During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and led police to the scene where Patrick Tetteh’s body was discovered.
Police are actively searching for the remaining two suspects, who remain at large.
The heartbreaking incident is reported to have occurred last week and has left the Prampram community in shock.
